Call me old fashioned, but I still want to believe that the office of the President of the United States of America is the political position of greatest honor in the world.
Whatever person holds that title should be someone my children can look up to and hold as an example and a hero. Someone who loves this nation. Someone who passionately believes in our greatness. Someone who, as the signers of the Declaration of Independence promised, is willing to pledge their "Lives, Fortunes, and sacred Honor" to our great country. We need a "Guard" for our "future security."
Kind of sounds like the way a mother feels about her child.
Many of us agree with George Washington and Abraham Lincoln who said, "All that I am or hope to be I owe to my angel mother." Mothers mold children, and thereby mold society. We can have great influence on what happens in our communities and who runs them. Perhaps, as moms, we have the greatest vested interest in this--that's our children's future freedom, prosperity, and happiness.
